Does this give another unfair advantage to the men? When it’s this fun, who cares?
Jeremy, Fun CEO
Incentives and benefits, moral and life balance. Effective CEOs know that it’s important for staff to have good mental health, but that they can’t be trusted to know what’s fun for them.
“I love piñatas so I’m sure everyone else does” said Harry Crimblechucks, founder and CEO of Wisconsin’s largest 3D print farm. “And I know everyone loves their bonuses, putting the two together just seemed like a no brainer.”
But Cathy, a secretary in accounting, wasn’t thrilled. “It was a foregone conclusion. Everyone knew that ‘Basher’ Bill would win he teaches little league.”
When asked if he thought it was fair that one person got the bonus Crimblechuck said that the winner‘s excitement made the whole thing worth it, but there was room for improvement. “Not everyone teaches little league, so next year, you can bet on who the winner will be to get consolation prizes.”
The piñata has inspired him to link other benefits with fun activities. Anyone who wins the floor is lava gets free cafeteria lunch, and pension benefits depend on where workers place in the musical chairs tournament. And Cathy? “If the rumors about her pass-the-parcel skills are true, she’s a shoo-in to win the premium parking spot for a month.”
